Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area lies largely in mountainous areas of Sichuan Basin, which is special in geographical location, complex in geological structure, harsh in climatic conditions, fragile in ecosystems and poor for living.Wenchuan Earthquake has not only brought about huge casualties and major economic losses, but also seriously undermined the conditions for the use of resources and the ecological environment, deteriorating the foundation of people’s living basis. In accordance with the people-centered concept and the requirements of sustainable development, this paper argues that it should,in the process of reconstruction, make scientific planning and comprehensive strategies, work out appropriate policies for population migration, balance efficiently local population density and promote the optimal allocation between the population and the resources and the environment.

Under-reporting rate of China’s 2000 population census stood at 1.81%,indicating deterioration of demographic data quality in China. On the one hand, this rate is an objective representation of current data quality;on the other hand,China’s population data quality is good as compared to other countries.Causes for under-reporting are many-sided,including design of census plan, people’s cooperation, funds input, administrative examination etc.As for the coming 6th national population census,we need to seriously analyze the causes of under-reporting,so that we can take appropriate measures to improve census data quality.

This paper brings forward that putting the migration into the theoretical framework of human capital is a historic error. It also argues that migration is one pseudo presentation of the investment of human capital, whatever from the perspectives of the connotation or the denotation of the theory of human capital. Then it offers superficial and deep-seated causes for that error with the birth and development of the theory of human capital and the receipts hallucination of the migration. It finally points out that the false illustration of the migration will undermine the purity of the theory of human capital, and even confuse the function of the migration and the role of the investment in human capital, leading to a wrong direction for the investment in human capital and the process of urbanization.

Using survey data of rural migrant workers in Shenzhen in 2005,this paper analyzes effects of social networks on rural migrant workers’ attitudes towards pre-marital pregnancy and extra-marital sexual behaviors. The results show that social networks is the key approach to change their marriage and sex attitudes, and number and attitudes of network members have significant effects on their attitudes towards pre-marital pregnancy and extra-marital sexual behaviors. The better the rural migrants integrate to the urban society, the closer their attitudes to those of permanent urban residents.Compared with male rural migrants, female rural migrants are less likely to accept pre-marital pregnancy and extra-marital sexual behaviors.Modernization of their marriage and sex attitudes helps their social integration into the urban society in terms of culture and value but might stimulate the occurrence of pre-marital pregnancy and extra-marital sexual behaviors.
